Vail Valley: Alpine Bank founder to speak at conference
Vail, CO, Colorado
Alpine Bank founder and chairman of the board Bob Young has been asked to speak at the Independent Community Bankers of America national convention. The convention will be held this month in Phoenix.
Michael Chandler, president of the Chandler Marketing Co. in Glenwood Springs, will join Young at the convention.
The two will talk about the tactics of “dreamweaving,” which national group heralds as “the nation’s most powerful bank marketing strategy.” Alpine Bank is the birthplace of dreamweaving, first embraced by Bob Young and Alpine Bank more than 30 years ago.
Chandler is the creator of dreamweaving and the author of the best-selling business book of the same title. This is the 14th consecutive year he’s been asked to address the independent bankers’ convention.
Other speakers at the convention will be Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, FDIC Chairman Shelia Bair and veteran ABC News journalist Sam Donaldson.
