Vail Valley: American National Bank earns ‘Blue Ribbon’ award
Vail, CO, Colorado
For the third consecutive quarter, American National Bank – a regional bank with branches in the Vail Valley – has received the highest rating as a Blue Ribbon Bank from VERIBANC, Inc., an independent bank rating firm.
Based on financial data supplied to regulators, VERIBANC qualifies banks for the Blue Ribbon Bank status using an eight-level rating system. To qualify for the Blue Ribbon status, banks must receive VERIBANC’s highest Green, Three Stars rating, including an evaluation of all six factors Federal regulators use in determining the government’s “CAMELS” ratings – Capital strength, Asset quality, Management, Earnings, Liquidity, and Sensitivity to market risk. In addition, it must satisfy additional safety criteria.
“It’s always good to be recognized by outside financial analysts. We believe this designation reinforces our commitment to our customers and shareholders in maintaining our financial strength,” says Dennis Nathan, bank president and CEO.
American National Bank is a member of the Sturm Financial Group, Inc., which has 40 community banks in Colorado, Wyoming Kansas and Missouri. The group has about $2.1 billion in assets.
A survey showed a good bit of support for local government action to bolster workforce housing in town. For now though, that support stops at supporting a new tax for funding.
