VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – The eighth annual Taste of Berry Creek, a popular fund-raiser for Berry Creek Middle School in Colorado’s Vail Valley is set for Feb. 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the school. Proceeds from the event benefit all the students at Berry Creek Middle School.

“We welcome our local community to experience a night of authentic Mexican cuisine and see recent projects created by our talented students,” school principal Robert Cuevas said. Cuevas was recently named the bi-lingual principal of the year in 2009 by the Colorado Department of Education.

Mexican cuisine will be served at the event, and is also available for take out. A silent auction will feature items from the Ritz Carlton, Dogma Athletica, Adventure Ridge, Optic Nerve, local restaurants, shops and more.

“The Taste of Berry Creek is one of the best school events of the year,” said Lulu Garton, chairwoman of the event this year. “We welcome everyone to come and have fun! There will be a bouncy house for kids, a performance by the school band and the students’ best work will be on display.”
