AVON — The inaugural Art at the Holidays Market will be held at Art of the Valley Gallery, today and Saturday, as part of Chapel Square’s Holly Days. Santa will be roaming around Chapel Square on Saturday afternoon, and Vail’s own Pat Hamilton will be singing Christmas carols at the gallery in the early afternoon. Stop by for hot cider and cookies and to browse for an artistic gift.
This artisan market features ceramics by Vail Valley Art Guild participating members Ann Loper, Willow Murphy, Bonnie Franklin and Kathy King. Also included will be Rosi Burki’s hand-painted glassware, pearls and eclectic jewelry by Perlesque and small original pieces by Joann Carhart Levy, Dana Dunbar and Melissa McDonald Nelson.
All Original Works
Lynn Feiger’s handmade accent pillows, Nate Smith’s skier prints and Beth Levine’s watercolor prints of Vail and Beaver Creek and Christmas greeting cards also will be for sale, and the gallery’s “Tis the Season” December exhibit is still on display, featuring sculpture, ceramics, oils, pastels and watercolor, photographs and furniture, all original works by local artists.
