AVON — To celebrate the holiday season, the Vail Valley Art Guild will host a First Friday reception for its newest exhibit, “’Tis the Season,” today.
The guild has more than 190 members, including painters, photographers, furniture makers and ceramic artists, and more than 30 of those artists and photographers will be exhibiting works in this holiday show, which will run through Saturday, Dec. 31, at Art of the Valley Gallery in Avon.
The holiday season stretches from Thanksgiving through the New Year and comes with many celebrations with friends and family. From skiing, snowboarding and ice-skating to sleigh rides, snowmobile trips, snowshoeing, concerts and fireworks, the Vail Valley provides joyous events to remember during this season.
Vail Valley Art Guild artists and photographers are using the holiday celebrations and local scenery as inspiration for this “’Tis the Season” exhibit.
