Vail Valley: Asian Village displays ‘art-to-wear jewelry’

VAIL VALLEY, Colorado –Asian Village in Edwards hosts an exclusive Vail-area showing of jewelry by San Francisco artist Masha Archer this week.

Each of Masha’s pieces are one-of-a-kind, assembled from treasures found in China, Nepal, Tibet, the Naga Culture of East Asian, the Hill Tribes of Northern Thailand, the Dinks of Africa and stones from Arizona, Russia and Tibet.

Named “Art-to-Wear Jewelry Designer USA” by the New York Fashion Group in 1995, Archer was born in Kiev to artist-professor parents, and fled to Europe following World War II. She studied at the Pratt Institute of Design in New York and worked as as exhibitor at Mexico City’s Museo Nacional de Mexico.



Her work has been featured in publications such as Elle, Bazaar and Vogue Italia. Archer counts numerous international luminaries among her clientel.

Asian Village, across from Starbucks and near The Bookworm in Edwards, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, and Sundays from 11a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 970-926-6188 for additional information.
