Bizwatch: Above & Beyond, property managementBusiness name: Above & Beyond, LLC.Date opened: 2003.Owner: Michelle Williams.Contact info: Phone, 970-331-1570. E-mail, goods or services do you provide? Above & Beyond, as the name implies, means everything encompassing property management repairs and maintenance, contract painting, as well as our favorite jobs, which include artistic and faux painting, including, but not limited to, wood repair.Aspiring artist that I am, my new passion is creating personal art for clients, using personal photographs of people, animals, or things. What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? We go Above & Beyond! I do all client jobs myself with a very trusted subcontractor. We are willing to do things not all painters will do. Because of my previous experience in property management, I notice everything, and often take care of things that otherwise may not get noticed. We take pride in the fact that we treat each home as if it were our own, from removing our shoes at the door to thoroughly cleaning up after a job is complete. What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you? Above & Beyond works honestly with each and every person we encounter. A personal relationship develops as we get information from our clients about their lifestyles and needs. The expectation is to follow through on what our customers want. We do what we say we are going to do. Whats it called? Oh yeah integrity.Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: I grew up in Vermont and moved to the Vail Valley in 1989 at only 21 years old. My education has come from life experience. I have had some exceptional teachers along the way, being in property management with a small company in Vail Village for six years, then starting my own property management company. I then transitioned into painting because I wanted to learn. I found a local mentor with her own artistic painting business and was lucky enough to get to work alongside her for the past four years, developing my own business at the same time. Also, my assistant has much experience as he previously ran a large stone masonry company. His creative, inventive approach has led us as a team to get anything done. I also have a strong support system of friends, many with business experience, who guide me along the way. What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened? The great people I work with have a special humorous way about them, so we entertain each other every day.
