Cupcake catering by Batter means gourmet artisan cupcakes for weddings, birthday parties, hospitality gifts, baby showers, corporate events, party favors and more. You can order batter cupcakes in mini, classic or Texas size. What’s new or exciting at your place? We have been working on gluten-free cupcakes for those with allergies and they’re pretty close to the real thing! I am excited to announce that Eat!Drink! in Edwards and Bagalis in West Vail are both carrying Batter Cupcakes on their menus. What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? I like to think that my cupcakes stand out because they are made with love. I wouldn’t have taken the risk of starting a small business if I wasn’t passionate about it, and I think that passion comes out in the flavors and attention to detail in each cupcake. Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: My background in baking comes from standing by my mom in the kitchen as a little girl. While other kids were outside running around, I was inside learning how to make the perfect cookie, cake or batch of brownies. I wanted to be a baker when I grew up and I even made my own three-layer chocolate buttercream cake for my ninth birthday party. Once I moved from North Carolina to Colorado I was challenged by baking in the altitude. After about a year of experimentation and lots of trial runs, I have grown from having two flavors to more than 20 cupcake flavors that are both unique and delicious.
