What goods or services do you provide? Accounting services.

What’s new or exciting at your place? We recently earned the designation of “Certified Intuit Solution Provider.” This program gives us the enhanced resources to provide solutions to my clients to make their businesses more profitable and efficient. The program allows us to re-sell Intuit products including QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, QuickBooks Retail Point of Sale, Intuit Payroll Solutions, and Intuit Merchant Credit Processing at discounted prices. We have also increased our staff to better serve our clientele.

What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? We attain current certifications in Intuit/Quickbooks Products. Our bookkeeping services are customized based upon our clients’ needs. Some clients need full service bookkeeping while others just need a second set of eyes on their financial records. Some clients are intimidated by the government regulations related to reporting payroll taxes, sale taxes and other business filings. We take on this reporting for them. No business is too small or too large for us to appropriately assist in their accounting management.

What can your customers expect from you? We are an advocate of Dale Carnegie’s philosophies. We treat clients with respect and stress the importance of meeting deadlines and follow through with what we say we’ll do for our clients. We respond in a timely manner to all requests. Integrity and confidentiality are paramount to our organization’s success.

Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: I grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC and graduated from University of South Carolina with a BA in accounting. I have been a Quickbooks Pro adviser since 1997, and recently earned certification in the Intuit Solution Provider program (one of only 500 internationally). After arriving in the Vail Valley, I worked for accounting departments in the hospitality and property management Industries.

I have completed an extensive Dale Carnegie training. I am an active member and a past president of Vail Valley Business Women and a past president of the local chapter of International Association of Hospitality Accountants.

What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened? One evening, a client got very upset when a told him that I had to pick up Alexis (my daughter), because he thought I said I was picking up “a Lexus” car.
