There are many reasons people buy and sell property and we are proud to help facilitate the American Dream. Its truly humbling to be allowed to participate in what is, for most people, the single largest purchase of their lives. What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? Because of the cyclical nature of real estate marketing, we have seen many changes to our industry, especially in the last few years. First American Heritage Title Company has always tried to focus on being the best provider of title insurance and closing services since thats what were in the business to do. We invest most of our resources into making the process simpler and less cumbersome for our clients and their customers. This has led to industry-leading technologies and services such as our in-house TitleVault a secure, Web-based transaction management system that is setting the standard nationwide. Additionally, being owned by the nations largest title insurance provider & underwriter, Fidelity National Financial, we are able to provide our clients with the reassurance that strength & size bring in these uncertain economic conditions. We are here to stay and serve our clients regardless of what the market is doing. What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you? Our company tagline is Making Transactions Personal, which we try to embody each day. Because were dealing with customers during what can be a stressful and tense time, we focus on being professional but we also want to bring some humanity to the situation. I think this is best displayed in our friendly, caring and can-do attitude. Our customers can expect we will treat each transaction as if it were our own, ensuring a personal touch.Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: Our backgrounds are as diverse as the many properties in which we deal we have people born and raised in Eagle and Garfield counties and transplants from New York City and Florida. The title insurance business is unique when it comes to training and education. We all learn on the job and continue to evolve every day. All of the employees in Eagle County have been in the business at least 10 years, with as many as 23 years of experience in the management team. What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened? This may not be funny, but we once closed an $18.5 million ranch deal with the buyer on the side of the road. The buyer was ill and staying at the new ranch he was purchasing in Jackson County. He wanted to meet at the crossroads of two county roads half way between Eagle and Walden. So we jumped in the car, met the buyer and signed the documents. We really do go that extra mile for clients!
