What goods or services do you provide? I provide photographic services for babies, family and children, high school seniors and weddings.

What’s new and exciting at your place? High School Senior sessions are being booked. Spring weather and senior portraits go hand-in-hand. This is the perfect time of year for outdoor sessions. We are now booking sessions for outdoor senior portraits. Book by June 30 and you will receive 24 complimentary wallet-sized photos.

What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? I love collaborating with my clients – hearing ideas and seeing some of the looks they bring inspires me. This is why I really encourage a design consultation, especially for our senior sessions. It’s during this time I get to know them a little and get introduced to their personal style.

After our consultation I am able to help decide what type of look and feel they are going for. Most high school seniors are looking for something fun, edgy and trendy – with their personalized session we are able to capture that look. Once their session is completed I compile a slide show that is made available for them to share with friends and family on their Facebook page. I am currently looking for senior models for my studio as well.

What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? I want my clients to have the “anti-chain store effect” when they visit my photography business. I do not want clients coming to me expecting rock-bottom pricing. I want them choosing me because of the experience and products I provide.

My home is modest, and while I would love to have a beautiful, open, modern studio, I don’t, and I probably won’t for a while. But I can still make sure the experience is a great one. I already do a lot of little things to try to make that experience great. It’s all about the experience they receive before, during and after their photographic session that counts.

What can your customers expect from you? I place a lot of attention to detail when it comes to photographing your family and delivering your finished art work. I put my heart and soul into creating beautiful artistic heirloom portraits for your family to enjoy for many years. I photograph mainly on location and use available light and our natural surroundings for back grounds.

Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: I went to school to study exercise science, but moved to Vail and became a ski instructor. All the while I dabbled in photography and started doing more after my children were born. I’m a member of the Professional Photographers of America and Society of Sport and Events Photographers.

What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened? During a newborn session mom and dad were holding the little girl, sans diapers. Use your imagination and you’ll know where the giggles came from!
