What goods or services do you provide? PISMO is a fine art gallery specializing in one-of-a-kind glass art. We have have more than 150 glass artists from around the world. Some of the more notable artists include Dale Chihuly, Christopher Ries, Dante Marioni, Stephen Rolfe Powel, and Flo Perkins.

What’s new or exciting at your place? We have something for every collector including original Dale Chihuly creations, an amazing range of original glass jewelry art, hand-blown Christmas ornaments, garden ornaments, and the most unique perfume bottle collection anywhere!

What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? Because we specialize in glass, we are like no other gallery in the Vail Valley – or anywhere else for that matter. You have to see it to believe the variety, quality and depth of our collection. Anything that can be conceived by a glass artist is in our gallery. Beyond serious collectors, we have folks who just love to come in an browse like they would in a fine art museum. The surprise is that many find a perfect wedding present, design piece, house warming present, or anniversary present in their price range.

What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you? We take every customer very seriously, whether they are looking to collect a very expensive original piece of glass art, a one-of-a-kind perfume bottle for their collection, or a special present for just the right effect. It all matters and they remember our special attention regarding their unique purchase. Year after year, we have clients come back to find that special birthday, anniversary, house warming, or wedding present that can’t be found anywhere else.

Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: Every gallery associate at PISMO has a unique set of qualifications. In our collective group, we have artists, corporate art consultants, designers, and art educators to our credit. This provides a span of expertise and perspective found nowhere else. Our associates also speak a variety of foreign languages including Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese and Italian to name a few.

What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened? We have a set of three multi-colored Chihuahuas on a little bench in our doorway, placed just so to catch the eye. We tell folks that those are our guard dogs and that always gets a laugh!
