What goods or services do you provide? Pure Barre is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs and burns fat in record-breaking time. Utilizing the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements set to fantastic music, Pure Barre is the fastest, most effective, yet safest way to change your body. Students see results in just 10 classes!

What’s new or exciting at your place? The Pure Barre Vail Valley Studio will be the first corporate-owned Pure Barre studio run by the creator of the Pure Barre technique, Carrie Rezabek (the company began franchising in July 2009 and there are now 50 Pure Barre locations open nationwide). This means the classes in Vail will set the standard for every other location in the country, and will be specially designed to provide a great cross-training workout for skiers and cyclists.

What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? We don’t strategize to differentiate ourselves from our competition – we focus on offering the most effective fitness technique for women. Our efforts are spent on finding the right teachers, putting them through rigorous training and continuous training in a technique which is constantly evolving.

What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you? We believe that women spend most of their time taking care of others in their lives and so for the hour they are in the Pure Barre studio, it is our job to take care of them.

Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: In 2001, Pure Barre was created by CEO Carrie Rezabek, an accomplished dancer and choreographer who has extensive training in dance, pilates, and fitness as well as the Lotte Berk Method. After earning a business degree from Michigan State and a law degree from Wayne State, Carrie opened her first studio, where she developed the Pure Barre Technique.

With her gift for creative choreography and music and her passion for challenging workouts that produce results, Carrie created a workout that is transforming women’s bodies worldwide. Pure Barre began franchising in July 2009 and there are now more than 50 Pure Barre locations open nationwide, as well as an extensive DVD home workout series.

What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened? We just opened so, we’ll have to get back to you! That said, don’t immediately dismiss this workout as just for the ladies. You can see for yourself what happened when Denver Broncos punter, Britton Colquitt, took Pure Barre and ended up getting “purely pooped” at http://tinyurl.com/27jpx6w.
