What goods or services do you provide? Insurance – auto, home, renters, ATV, snowmobile, commercial, life, health and everything in between.

What’s new or exciting at your place? We have constructed a beautiful new office located in the heart of downtown Eagle. Creating this new space has allowed us to move to a paperless office. Using modern technology to our advantage has afforded us an opportunity to move a low -tech business into the 21st century. This will benefit our clients by allowing them to have more access and control over their insurance. Our clients have already begin to see the difference in how we do business.

What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? We provide “The best insurance experience you’ll ever have.” How do we do this? Follow up and follow through. We got into this business to help people allocate their insurance dollars as efficiently and effectively as possible. We only have so much we can afford every month and it’s important to stretch those dollars as far as we can.

Most people don’t realize what they are spending their money on, and with a little more knowledge can better distribute those dollars. That is what we do – help clients understand their insurance needs and allocate the funds as they see fit.

What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you? We believe in going beyond the normal insurance experience to empower people to make educated insurance decisions. We want our clients to be successful and believe strongly in supporting local businesses and their owners. Our clients can expect us to be their insurance resource for whatever they need.

Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: I’m a native of the valley and grew up in this area. After graduating from Eagle Valley High School, I attended undergrad in Durango at the Fort Lewis College School of Business, where I received a degree in business administration with an emphases in marketing and accounting.

While attending college I worked full-time in several different organizations, from aviation to high level consulting. This helped me crystallize my vision of helping others. After graduation I went to work for a high level insurance agent and rose to be the top producer. When the opportunity to become a Farmers agent arose I was quick to take action.

What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened? The first week in our new office my car was parked out front. While I was meeting with a client out of the office someone backed into my car and drove off without leaving a note. Filing a claim with the company my first week, on my own car, when it was parked in front of my office isn’t what I had in mind. At least I knew the right people to talk to!
