Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: Shortly after graduating college I traveled the world for a year. The experience I received has given me the opportunity to carry that through my next endeavors.

When I arrived back in the states I worked in Manhattan for Polo Ralph Lauren as a designer. After a few years of overcrowded streets, yellow cabs and honking horns I opted for the beautiful mountains of Colorado and skiing. In 1995 my husband and I opened and operated the Minturn Inn. I found great pride and joy designing and decorating the 19-room bed and breakfast.

Owning the Minturn Inn also gave me the opportunity to meet and interact with people from all over the world. The experiences I have gained through my world travels, design background and business ownership has given me the insight and opportunity to purchase The Uptown Store.
