BEAVER CREEK ” Kraig Forbes recently announced the opening of Beaver Creek’s newest amenity ” Villa Montane Ski Cache ” in Beaver Creek Village.

The Ski Cache is a ski gear locker and lounge with no initiation fee where members can lease a storage locker for an introductory rate of $2,500 for the first 50 members.

Members of the Villa Montane Ski Cache will enjoy a private club atmosphere with ski-in access via the Oxford Court Skier Bridge and ski-out access via the Elkhorn Chairlift. Automobile access allows members to drop off at the club’s front door.



The facility includes a living room, snacks, television, newspapers, Internet access, i-pod charging stations and restrooms.

The Ski Cache will have full-height custom storage lockers that accommodate four pairs of skis or snowboards, two adult pairs of boots with air drying, and shelves for gloves, hats and goggles.

AVON ” The Vail Valley Partnership, in conjunction with the town of Vail and the Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability, recently unveiled “Destination Preservation,” an environmental sustainability program for the Vail Valley.

The program’s objective is to develop a voluntary, non-regulatory program to acknowledge and reward environmentally conscious facilities in the Vail Valley business/hospitality community.



The program is an effort to encourage the Vail Valley hospitality industry to conserve and protect the natural environment, to increase awareness of best practices and to help businesses save money while protecting the environment.
