Vail Valley Business Women celebrates 25 years
EAGLE COUNTY – Vail Valley Business Women will celebrate its 25th anniversary this fall. Vail Valley Business Women was started as a support group in 1980 by local businesswomen. This organization is meant to be a forum for networking and to improve the business skills of women.
The group holds everything from educational talks to an annual spa night and wine tasting. Vail Valley Business Women has also worked with Habitat for Humanity, which helps low-income families build homes, and awarded scholarships to local women. In the last five-plus years, I have made some great business contacts and wonderful friends through Vail Valley Business Women, said Camille Thurston, a member since 1999. I would recommend the group to anyone trying to expand their business or network within Eagle County, I cannot even count how many business relationships and friendships I have developed through this group, said Jamie Meirowsky, president of Haneke Financial & Insurance Services, who joined the group in 1998. The Vail Valley Business Women has been integral to the success of my business in the valley. This group normally meets on the second Wednesday of each month throughout the Valley. Vail, Colorado
