What goods or services do you provide? An all natural salad dressing that enhances the nutritional value of your salad/veggies and tastes delicious.

What’s new or exciting at your place? We are currently selling our Purple Carrot dressing at three Whole Foods stores in Colorado – The Pearl Street location in Boulder, Cherry Creek in Denver, and Basalt.

What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? We are the only salad dressing on the market that adds nutritional value and enhances the natural flavor of your salad/veggies. Our dressings are mixed with flax instead of xanthan gum to add protein and fiber to your salad in an all natural way. Each dressing also contains veggies so there is added vitamin A and C. And, of course, Dressed Up Salad Dressing contains no added sugar or preservatives.

What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you? We created this product because we were not satisfied with the current options on the store shelves. We wanted to create something that we would want to eat and share with friends. We promise to always use thoughtful ingredients and never comprise our flavor or quality. It will always be a product that we personally want to eat, share with friends and feel confident feeding to Liam, Aryn’s little son.

Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: We are both graduates of the University of Colorado. After graduation – almost 10 years ago now – we decided to move to the mountains of Vail. Like most locals, we ended up staying much longer than one season.

Aryn is an event designer by day with a background in human resources. She leads all things creative, inspired and beautiful at Dressed Up.

Jamie is a brand strategist by day and manages the “left side” of Dressed Up (finance, operations, etc.). We both love being active in the outdoors, eating fresh and healthy food and most importantly are passionate about what we do! We enjoy working hard and are excited to share our excitement for this products with everyone we encounter.

What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened? We had signed up as an “on call” vendor at the Vail’s Farmers Market. We received a call one week prior to the market and had to figure out a way to make is happen. This was the first time we had actually sold a bottle to the public.

The day before the market we spent eight hours in the kitchen, produced only 20 bottles and hand-printed our logo on beer bottle labels from a brewing store. After little sleep we showed up at the farmer’s market not knowing what to expect.

We thought it would be a success if people even sampled our product. To our surprise we sold out in an hour! We then had to spend the rest of the day sampling our salad dressing because we did not have any to sell.
