Vail Valley Dining: Brewers menu will be served at 8100

BEAVER CREEK – Beer: it’s not just the beverage highlighted during this weekend’s Blues, Brews & Barbecue festival in Beaver Creek. At 8100 Mountainside Bar & Grill, beer is also the star of a special menu created for the weekend, which will pair suds from Colorado microbreweries with special 8100 dishes. The menu will be available Saturday and Sundayat 8100 at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek.The Brewer’s Menu will feature beer from Avery Brewing Co. and Left Hand Brewery Co, two of the breweries that that will attend the Microbrew Tasting on Saturday. Special dishes will include: spicy grilled shrimp skewers with a honey-tarragon glaze and a grilled fennel-citrus slaw; roasted lamb meatballs with beer-glazed onion relish; beer and garlic marinated buffalo skewers with sweet spring onions and tomato marmalade. “This is a fantastic opportunity to experience some of our favorite local brews in an entirely different way,” says Reese Hay, Chef de Cuisine for 8100. “The Microbrew Tasting is an extremely popular event and we are excited to have this opportunity to develop a special menu to highlight the beer and our cuisine.”Park Hyatt Beaver Creek hosts the largest exclusively Colorado Microbrewery Beer Tasting in the state from 1 to 5 p.m on Saturday. Featuring more than 80 special concoctions from 35 Colorado-based breweries, the Microbrew Tasting has become one of the highlights of Beaver Creek’s annual Blues, Brews and BBQ festival held over Memorial Day weekend. Tickets for the Microbrew Tasting are $35 in advance or $40 at the door.
