Vail Valley: Edwards restaurant loyalty card a big success
Building on the success of its already established locals card dining program, Rick & Kellys American Bistro will reward the 2,000th Vail Valley resident to sign up for the program with a gourmet barbecue party for up to 10 guests (worth about $400), personally catered by Chef/Owner Kelly Liken. The party may take place at the winners home or destination of choice within the Vail Valley. What began in March 2009 as a way to thank the bistros neighbors and regulars quickly became a success, boasting 1,500 members to date. With a 15 percent discount on their bills off their bill card holders have collectively saved over $22,000 since the programs start. Member discounts are valid anytime during business hours, including happy hours, which are twice daily from 4:30-6 p.m. and 9-11 p.m., seven days a week. Locals may sign up for the program at the bistro. The program is open to all Vail Valley residents, but they must show proof of residence in order to be eligible.
