Samantha Stollenwerck at Samana Lounge

Catch singer/songwriter Samantha Stollenwerck at the Samana Lounge in Vail for a free show Thursday. Stollenwerck fuses pop rock with a style all her own to create a unique sound that has landed her gigs with the Dave Matthews Band, Ziggy Marley and Big Head Todd and the Monsters.

“She’s been around the scene for a while and is pretty up and coming,” said Scotty Stoughton, nightlife host for Samana Lounge. “She’s super high-energy and gets the crowd rocking by herself, which is pretty cool. She’s really into her craft and into her music.”

Stoughton describes her music as aggressive folk rock. For a one-woman show, he said, she can entertain with the best of them.

The show starts at 10 p.m. and is free. For more information, call 970-476-3433.
