Vail Valley: ‘Entrepreneur Fitness Center’ returns to CMC
Vail, CO, Colorado
The Vail Valley Colorado Mountain College center in Edwards is bringing back its “Entrepreneur Fitness Center” this winter.
The class, run by a business consultant, will coach students as they write their own buisness plans.
“Past students have been thrilled with their outcomes, indicating they definitely got their money’s worth in expert advice,” said Kim Blackford, director of Customized Business Services at the college’s Vail-Eagle Valley Campus.
Former student Ellen Galbraith of High Country Solutions, said, “I only wish I could have taken this class before I started my business. This class allowed me to turn the mirror on myself and honestly evaluate my business and its direction.”
Course instructor Patrick Baldasare is an entrepreneur who has built several successful businesses. Baldasare relies on the “Who’s Who” in business for guest lectures and panel discussions. These speakers include ex-Fortune 500 CEOs and entrepreneurs with experience in successfully running and selling big businesses, as well as local entrepreneurs who understand what it takes to be successful in this valley.
During the course, students will work through all aspects of writing a business plan, from crafting a vision statement to defining and sizing target market(s), building the sales and marketing plan, drafting financial forecasts and understanding legal requirements. By the end of the course students walk away with a well-written and documented business plan used to either start a business or jump-start an existing one.
Classes will be held on Wednesdays, Jan. 27 through March 31, from 5:45 – 8:45 p.m. For more information, call 970-569-2933 or go to http://www.coloradomtn.edu/CBSedwards
