Vail Valley firefighters beat expectations
VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – The Eagle River Professional Firefighters Association, along with Eagle River resident firefighters and the Eagle River Fire Protection District, had an exceptional Labor Day Weekend Fill-The-Boot campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.During the street-side collection campaign, members collected $11,962.13. The Eagle River Resident Association held a car wash raising a total of $1,040.00, $520 going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and $520 going to help patients at the Shaw Cancer center in Edwards. A grand total of $12,482.13 will be donated to assist those affected by muscular dystrophy. To date the International Associated of Firefighters is the single-largest contributor to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, donating an incredible $20 million last year.
