Vail Valley forecast full of snow

VAIL VALLEY, Colorado ” Upwards of a foot of snow could fall on the Vail Valley over the next few days, the National Weather Service predicts.

Vail Mountain is reporting six inches of snow in the last 24 hours, and Beaver Creek is reporting seven, and snow is expected to continue today and tonight.

A winter storm warning remains in effect until 6 a.m., Tuesday. Five to nine inches of snow could fall in the Vail Valley by then.



The heaviest snowfall is expected in the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado. Three feet could fall in some areas of Colorado, the National Weather Service says.

For the Vail Valley, the weather service has snow in the forecast until at least Thursday.
