Vail Valley Foundation launches sports club
VAIL, Colorado – In an effort to support community programs the Vail Valley Foundation provides in arts, athletics and education, while further satisfying this community’s need to challenge itself athletically, the Foundation recently launched its newest philanthropic membership program – the Vail Valley Foundation Sports Club.
The VVF Sports Club will provide regular active and engaging group athletic opportunities throughout the year. Led by internationally renowned adventure racer Mike Kloser and headlined by other world class local athletes, the new club will feature winter and summer group activities, including, but not limited to, ski mountaineering, Nordic skiing, road and mountain biking and trail running. All experiences will feature three basic levels of intensity and duration in order to accommodate athletes of all ages and abilities.
Membership in the new Vail Valley Foundation Sports Club is an annual contribution of $1,000 for an individual and $1,500 per couple. That donation is 80 percent tax deductible. Sports Club benefits include the opportunity to participate in 14 winter activities and 12 summer outings. Additional benefits will include one First Light First Tracks ski and snowboard opportunity, a free entry for one competition at the 2013 Teva Mountain Games and a Vail Valley Foundation Sports Club cycling jersey.
