Vail Valley: Gypsum Animal Hospital to offer pet protection plan
Vail, CO, Colorado
Gypsum Animal Hospital will soon introduce Eagle County’s first comprehensive health care plans for pets.
“This is something we introduced during the last recession in Florida” hospital owner Dr. Stephen Sheldon said. “They were wildly popular then and were continued even afterward.”
The plans provide for all routine healthcare, unlimited free examinations, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and dental care. Plan members get discounts on additional services including surgeries, emergencies, medications and prescriptions.
“About the only thing not included is the kitchen sink ” or pet food,” Sheldon said.
“It costs nothing when you are on the plan to see a doctor,” Sheldon added. “We feel this will help people take better care of their pets where before owners might have tried unsuccessful or potentially harmful home remedies”.
There are different plans for puppies, kittens and adult dogs and cats. For more information, call 970-524-3647 or go to http://www.gypsumah.com.
