VAIL VALLEY – The Vail Valley-based Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis announced John Shipp as the board of directors president. Shipp joined The Heuga Center’s board of directors in 2006 after being involved as a volunteer and fundraiser.”I got involved with The Heuga Center because a very close friend of mine was diagnosed with MS,” said Shipp. “She’s a wife and mother so I’ve witnessed how this disease affects the entire family.”The Heuga Center helps people with multiple sclerosis lead active lives. Full and partial scholarships are available for The Heuga Center’s upcoming CAN DO Program at The Lodge at Vail in Vail Village, Oct. 14 to 18.”John has been a generous and dedicated supporter of The Heuga Center since 2004,” said The Heuga Center’s CEO Kim Sharkey. “As owner of The Dusty Boot Steakhouse & Saloon, his Dine Out for MS fundraising events have raised more than $55,000 for us.”Visit the Web site at http://www.heuga.org to learn more.
