Vail Valley: Jack’s Place to benefit from Vintage Magnolia Valentine sales
Vail, CO, Colorado
Vintage Magnolia, a floral and gift shop in Edwards, will donate 5 percent of its Valentine’s Day sales to Jack’s Place, a Vail Valley facility for patients to stay while receiving treatment at the Shaw Regional Cancer Center.
Named for local doctor Jack Eck, Jack’s Place has provided more than 2,500 nights of accommodations for patients and their caregivers while they receive treatment at the Shaw Regional Cancer Center. The home’s operating budget comes from the fund-raising efforts of the Shaw Outreach Team, philanthropy and patient donations.
“We wanted to do something to support the local community,” Vintage Magnolia co-owner Vanessa Lyons said. “Jack’s Place touches the lives of many by providing serenity for patients and their families.”
Co-owner Mary Gilmore added, “Valentine’s is not just about your significant other- it’s also about caring and recognizing love for others. By donating a portion of our sales, we hope to encourage our customers to take the day and appreciate love.”
