Vail Valley, Jackson Hole projects earn awards for Slifer Designs
Donna Figg and Sarah Carr of Slifer Designs, a Vail Valley interior design company, have earned a pair of awards from the Colorado Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. Working together, Figg and Carr won an award for sustainable design for a project for Vail Resorts Development Corporation at the Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club.We are thrilled to recognize leading designers in their success and for helping to raise professionalism in the interior design industry, said Lynn Williamson, communications director for Colorado Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. In a year when the building market is slower than in past years, were excited to share the business practices and design creativity that have made these designers successful.Figg and Carr also won an award from the group for Excellence in Hospitality Design Over Ten Thousand Square Feet for a project at the Arrabelle at Vail Square.Figg also won a first place award for excellence in design elements for a unified design throughout the Arrabelle that upholds the European flavor of the project.Profiles of the projects selected as winners of the 2009 Interior Design Awards for ASID Colorado will be published in the June/July issue of Colorado Homes & Lifestyles magazine.The American Society of Interior Designers is the countrys largest professional organization for interior designers, with more than 30,000 members nationally, 700 members in Colorado.
