VAIL VALLEY, Colorado –This summer, Vail Valley students entering sixth through eighth grade are invited to participate in The Literacy Project’s “Reading on the Go!” reading and writing program on Thursdays at the Avon, Eagle and Gypsum libraries.

Beginning Thursday, Reading on the Go is a summer reading book club for middle school students that reinforces important literacy skills as participants read a new book and discuss it with their peers.

The program starts at 10 a.m., on Thursdays. Students will read and write with guest teachers in the morning, then hit the road for summer fun in the afternoon. Beginning at 3:30 p.m., the libraries will offer special events. Kids can stay the whole day or just attend certain events.

Space is limited and registration is required for Reading on the Go. For more information, call The Literacy Project at 970-949-5026.
