Vail Valley literacy projects needs lots of volunteers

Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – The Literacy Project began in Colorado’s Vail Valley in 1990 with 20 adult students anxious to learn how to read and write. The program has grown over the years, and now serves more than 500 individuals and 80 families in the county.

As the program has grown, so has the need for volunteer tutors to work with middle school or adult students at local libraries and schools. Tutors generally volunteer just two hours a week to help a fellow valley resident learn to read and write.
