VAIL, Colorado –Love for the Ladies, a freestyle snowboard and skiing event, will return to Beaver Creek March 27 in Colorado’s Vail Valley. The event raised nearly $6,000 for the Vail Breast Cancer Awareness Group last year. This year’s Love for the Ladies will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Lumber Yard Terrain Park at Beaver Creek Mountain.

Justine Nadherny will lead the second philanthropic team rail jam at Beaver Creek Mountain. Affectionately called “Love for the Ladies (LFTL)” this event raises money for breast cancer awareness among the younger Eagle County generation, as well as raise money for the Vail Breast Cancer Awareness Group. LFTL is a very personal event for Nadherny, as her mother has been surviving breast cancer for several years.

The team rail jam is open to skiers and snowboards 12 years old and older. Each team consists of three competitors with one female minimum. Teams are judged on overall impression, as well as costume creativity.

Teams must register online at http://www.lovefortheladies.com. The registration fee is a minimum donation of $150 per team, however only a deposit of $50 is required of the team when registering. Each registered team will be given their own section of the LFTL Web site, and a donation button will be created on their behalf to help them reach and surpass their pledge of $150. The team that raises the most money will receive a very special grand prize. All donations less the transaction fees will be donated to the Vail Breast Cancer Awareness Group.

Love for the Ladies was started in the spring of 2009 by Nadherny in an effort to bring breast cancer knowledge and awareness to the local Eagle County snowboard and freeski community. She was joined by Secret Stache Media, a local Web strategy group known best for http://www.ridethebeav.com, to help execute and bridge the event’s online and offline activity. In 2009 the Love for the Ladies debut event raised nearly $6,000 from a collection of donations gathered primarily from local Vail Valley residents: a truly magnificent first year feat. This year’s objective is to raise $7,500, with a dream goal of $10,000. Donations will be accepted on http://www.lovefortheladies.com as well as on the day of the event. Endorse all checks to Love for the Ladies.
