Vail Valley man transported to Denver after falling

EAGLE COUNTY ” An Eagle-Vail man was transported to a Denver hospital Sunday morning after falling on his neck.

Two Eagle County Sheriff’s deputies responded at 12:38 a.m. to an Eagle-Vail condo for report of an adult male that had fallen and was unresponsive.

When deputy Corey Bruce arrived on the scene, he found a male lying on the floor. The man wasn’t breathing and had no pulse, according to officials. Bruce performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the man. Deputy Scott Hendirckson got to the condo minutes later and the two performed CPR on the man for more than 10 minutes.

When medical personnel arrived on the scene, the man was breathing and had a faint pulse. He was transported to the Vail Valley Medical Center and later moved to a hospital in Denver.
