Vail Valley Medical Center names patient care executive
Vail, CO, Colorado
Alice Weydt has been named vice president of patient care services at Vail Valley Medical Center.
“Aice brings a great depth of clinical expertise to the Medical Center,” Vail Valley Medical Center CEO Doris Kirchner said. “The vice president of patient care services has responsibility for day-to-day clinical operations, program development and project management. Alice has worn this hat before and will fit nicely into our plans to continue to grow a patient focused care program.”
Weydt worked for Immanuel St. Joseph-Mayo Health System in Mankato, Minn. for 17 years. She served as the director of patient care services and then was promoted to the director of clinical practice and professional development. Most recently Weydt served as the director of patient care services for Franciscan Skemp Mayo Health System Arcadia Campus in Arcadia, Wisc.
“Patient care is my passion, and healthy interpersonal relationships within the healthcare team, patients and families, are the foundation to positive patient outcomes,” Weydt said. “Health care touches lives in ways no other profession can. It is a responsibility as well as a privilege to care for people.”
