Vail Valley: Miller Ranch home goes to family of two

Vail Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – A family of two recently bought a Miller Ranch home. It’s pretty unusual, but it has happened in the Vail Valley affordable housing complex in the past.

The deed-restricted single-family Miller Ranch homes are typically restricted to families of three or more. There weren’t any families of three that wanted to buy one of the homes recently, so a family of two became eligible, Don Cohen, director of the Vail Valley Home Store, which helps manage the Miller Ranch properties.

“Nothing has been changed in the guidelines,” Cohen said. “It’s just timing. Lately there have been a lot fewer buyers in line for the single families.”
