EAGLE COUNTY ” Friends of the Eagle’s Nest Wilderness is looking for volunteers for forest projects this summer.

A volunteer party will be held Tuesday, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Colorado Ski Museum in Vail. Friends of the Eagles Nest Wilderness and U.S. Forest Service personnel will provide details on several projects such a trail and campsite maintenance, providing information to hikers and noxious weed control.

VAIL ” The town of Vail and The Vail Recreation District are looking for people to join a focus group that will evaluate park and recreation services.

Suggestions from the focus group will be used to formulate a master plan for Vail’s parks and recreation facilities. Vail residents and homeowners, rec district taxpayers and users of rec district programs can join the group.

EAGLE COUNTY ” Residents can now to property research and access tax information on computers at the Eagle County offices in El Jebel and Avon.

The new service is provided by Eagle County Assessor Joyce Mack and Eagle County Treasurer Karen Sheaffer, in cooperation with Eagle County Clerk Teak Simonton.

Instructions for using the computers are posted. Call the Assessor’s Office at 328-8640 or the Treasurer’s Office at 328-8860 for additional information and assistance.
