Vail Valley nonprofit announced ‘business makeover’ winner Wednesday

Strive & Thrive, a new Vail Valley nonprofit group dedicated to helping small and medium-sized businesses in the valley, will announce the winner of its first-ever “Ultimate Business Makeover” at an event from 5 to 7 p.m. at E-Town in Edwards.The event it set for Nov. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at E-Town in Edwards.Strive & Thrive in September announced an Eagle County-wide contest to award one business with an “Ultimate Business Makeover.” The value of the makeover is worth more than $50,000 in goods and services. More than 100 businesses sent applications.”These businesses are the backbone of our small economy and we depend on them for jobs and services, yet they don’t have anywhere turn to get assistance with all of their fundamentals in areas like marketing, human resources, IT, web development, accounting and banking”, said Jill Anderson, a co-founder of Strive & Thrive and owner of Anderson Marketing Communications and Events.Strive & Thrive is made up of professionals from six local businesses: Dalby Wendland & Company; Colorado Business Bank; Managed Data; Anderson Marketing Communications and Events; One Resolution and Human Resources Plus. Strive & Thrive’s mission is to provide resources and guidance to small and medium sized businesses.
