Vail, CO, Colorado

A Vail Valley orthodontist, Dr. Al Bishop, has announced he has filed for non-profit status for the recently formed Smile For A Lifetime, Inc. Bishop created the foundation to provide braces at no cost to individuals who cannot afford them. Last year, the foundation awarded orthodontic care to six local children who could not afford treatment.

“The mission of Smile For A Lifetime Foundation is to create self-confidence, inspire hope and change in the lives of children in our community in a dramatic way,” Bishop said. “The gift of a smile can do all this for a deserving individual who, in turn, can use this gift to better themselves and our community.”

Bishop has been recognized by his peers as one of the country’s top orthodontists. He has participated as a research doctor for several orthodontic manufacturing companies, is a graduate of the F.A.C.E. foundation, a distinguished orthodontic institute, and has been asked to speak to numerous professional groups around the world.
