Vail Valley Partnership announces ‘Success Award’ categories
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado The Vail Valley Partnership’s ninth annual “Success Awards” has added two new categories for the Feb. 10 celebration.
Categories this year are: Non-Profit of the Year; Business of the Year; Small Business of the Year; Entrepreneur of the Year; Spirit of the Valley Award (formally the Corporate Citizenship Award); and the new categories, Young Professional of the Year and New Business of the Year. A large portion of the event’s proceeds are donated to the Non-Profit of the Year winner.
The Young Professional of the Year award is open to applicants who are permanent residents under the age of 35 years old. Because the Vail Valley attracts a large number of young entrepreneurs, the Partnership believes this is a much-needed addition to the annual event. The New Business of the Year reflects the Partnership’s belief that new member businesses should be recognized for their resolve in a recuperating economic environment. Only businesses that have been open for 12 months or less may apply for this category.
Success Award nominations are due by Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. The Success Award selection committee will then meet to choose the finalists and Non-Profit of the Year award winner. The winners of the remaining categories will be announced at the annual Success Awards, Feb. 10.
