Vail Valley real estate shows improvement

VAIL, Colorado ” The real estate market in Colorado’s Vail Valley showed some life in February.
The number of transactions and the amount of money that changed hands in February were up from the previous month, according to a real estate report by Land Title, an Eagle-based company that tracks the local real estate market.
There were 55 real estate transactions in February, a 16 percent increase from January. The February transactions totaled $56,760,800, which is 29 percent higher.
Four February sales exceeded $4 million. The largest was a Vail Mountain View residence which sold for $5,950,000. Sales in Beaver Creek have accounted for about 15 percent of all county sales in the first two months of the year, totaling $14,074,000.
The average residential price in February was $1,575,418 and Vail Village accounted for 14.5 percent of the transactions in the month.
