Vail Valley: Red Sky Golf Club opens Friday
VAIL VALLEY, Colorado Red Sky Golf Clubs two 18-hole courses in Colorado’s Vail Valley will open over the next 10 days in WolcottOn Friday, Red Skys Tom Fazio-designed course will open to members. It will open to guests on May 15. The Greg Norman-designs course opens to members and guests on May 15. With the abundant snow pack from this winter and the experience of our new course superintendent, Mike Miner, we anticipate lush fairways and perfect greens all season long, says Jeff Hanson, Director of Golf for Red Sky Golf Club.Early season rates of $195 per round are effective from opening through June 4 and locals may make tee times in the early season by calling the Red Sky pro shop.Red Sky Golf Club is open for play for members and members guests as well as guests at he Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch; Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa; The Lodge at Vail; The Arrabelle at Vail Square; Vail Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa; The Pines Lodge; Beaver Creek Lodge; The Charter and the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail. Golfweek magazine recently named the Fazio Course the #1 course in Colorado and #32 overall in its Best Resort Golf Courses for 2009. The Norman Course was ranked the #2 course in Colorado and #40 overall in Golfweeks resort course ratings.
