Vail Valley: Renovated Eagle Point Resort focused on value, service
Vail, CO, Colorado
Eagle Point Resort has nearly finished an extensive renovation, and now claims to be one of the best values in Vail lodging and interval ownership.
Located just west of Lionshead and Cascade Village, the resort sits on nearly three acres of land between Gore Creek and U.S. National Forest land just minutes from Vail Village.
“We’re nearing the end of a four-year renovation,” homeowners association board member Anne Kingsley said. “It was time for us to bring the look of the resort up from the ’80s to the second decade of the 21st century. Gone are the laminate cabinets and Formica counters. At the end of the renovation this fall, all units will have Alder cabinets, granite countertops, fresh carpeting and new bathrooms.
Managed by East West Resorts, Eagle Point has 31 one-bedroom, one-bath residences and 24 two-bedroom, two-bath residences. Weekly fractional ownership prices range from $2,000 to $8,500 for a one-bedroom and $5,700 to $12,000 for a two-bedroom.
Eagle Point’s interval ownership is deeded, and can be sold or passed down through generations. In addition, Eagle Point is a member of Interval International, allowing weeks owned to be traded at other member resorts around the world.

But most Eagle Point owners and guests return year after year, according to Bernie Cooper, the resort’s general manager for 13 years.
Eagle Point Resort’s amenities include on-site parking, an indoor/outdoor pool and adjoining hot tub, and two upper-level decks, one with a hot tub and one with a barbecue grill area, complimentary WiFi and guest laundry facilities. The Vail Valley Partnership recently was upgraded the property from “silver” to “gold.”
