Vail Valley: Samaritan Center to host annual gala
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL VALLEY, Colorado –The Vail Valley’s Samaritan Counseling Center is holding its second annual fundraiser on June 27.
This Summer Solstice Celebration will include a dinner and dance, and proceeds from the silent auction will go to subsidize care for individuals who cannot afford counseling services.
This year’s event will feature the music of Beth Swearingen and Peter Fontenese.
This award winning performer, director and choreographer is now raising her family here in the Vail Valley. She is a highly sought after entertainer and singer, and together with Peter Fontenese, last year’s crowd danced and sang late into the evening. Some of the local talent from the audience also had a chance to sing and everyone danced – singles, couples, youth – all together in what turned into a true community event.
The Samaritan Counseling Center was founded in Edwards in 1997, and five professional, licensed counselors serve the community. This nonprofit center serves individuals, couples and families. Fees are set at very reasonable levels, and a sliding scale is available for those in need.
The Center is able to accomplish this through the generous support of different agencies and many individuals in our community. Events such as the Summer Solstice Celebration also provide for these subsidy funds.
Many local businesses are donating gift certificates and items to the Silent Auction. Expect a wine tasting and a scotch tasting, as well as an exciting live and silent auction.
Contact the Samaritan Center for tickets, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 970-926-8558.
This year, the event will once again be held at the Vail Christian High School, which generously donates its Fine Arts Center for the event. Tickets are $60, or $400 for a table of 8. Tickets include dinner and a wine tasting.
