Vail Valley spiritual gathering explores gratitude

Vail Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colorado –Journeys in Living Spirituality continue twice monthly gatherings in Colorado’s Vail Valley this Saturday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Avon Library Community Room. This week’s topic is gratitude.

The discussion will explore the not so easy events and circumstances in our lives and how to reframe them into occasions of grace and blessing, says Narda Reigel, one of the creators of Journeys in Living Spirituality.

“This week’s gathering will ask what we are thankful for. The easy answers come to mind – family, health, friends, abundance, etc.,” Reigel says. “The lessons, experiences, hurts and missed opportunities that have led us down the path of growth and transformation are necessary and learning to be grateful for them helps us heal.”

Each Journeys in Living Spirituality gathering begins with silence/meditation. Then there is an opening prayer or saying, lecture, questions and then a closing prayer.

All are welcome at Journeys in Living Spirituality, including children. Donations are accepted but not expected. An unopened food donation for the Salvation Army is gracefully accepted as well.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

The next Journeys in Living Spirituality will be held on Dec. 5. The topic will be courage. For more information, contact Reigel at 970-376-3268 or co-creator Catherine Zeeb at 970-376-6660 or visit her Web site,
