VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – The Vail Valley’s Churchill Wine Cellars will be celebrating the 2009 harvest with a traditional, old-world style grape stomps on Friday and Saturday.

The harvest crush will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days at the Wolcott winery. The crush is designed to give wine club members of all ages a personal, fun and engaging experience.

There will be fun competitions including grape stomping, spinning, tossing and new this year – peeling. If you are interested in attending this event, call Patrick Chirichillo at 970-471-0420.

Churchill Wine Cellars has been making wine from California grapes in the valley for 18 years. Throughout the year, events are held at the winery where members assist in feeding the grapes through the presses to later bottle, cork and shrink wrap their very own wine.
