Vail Valley students graduate Berry Creek program

VAIL VALLEY – A group of 62 students from Berry Creek Middle School in Colorado’s Vail Valley will be honored Wednesday for their participation in the Teach One to Lead One program. Awards will be given in the area of service project completion, excellence, and graduation from the program. Over the course of 12 weeks students recognized and practiced 10 universal principles including respect, integrity, self-control and excellence.

The graduation ceremony is open to the public and begins at 6 p.m. today in Berry Creek Middle School auditorium. These students are leaders in our community who have given time and resources to help others in our community through the Make a Difference canned food drive in conjunction with the Town of Vail.

The Teach One to Lead One program was created by Celebrate Life International. The organization provides programs, materials, training and personnel to develop young people across the U.S. and South Africa. The company has worked with young people for more than 12 years and has successfully implemented programs that reduce violence in schools and drug abuse among teens, as well as increase academic performance and interest in higher education. Teach One to Lead One has been in the Eagle County school district for three years.



Celebrate Life International, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming at-risk kids into responsible citizens through the building of their character based on practical leadership skills and universal ethical principles. The organization is headquartered in Atlanta, Ga. with offices in California, Colorado, Louisiana, Cape Town, South Africa and volunteer chapters established in metropolitan areas throughout the United States.
