Vail Valley: There’s still a lot of value in merchant passes
VAIL, Colorado -A few days ago Vail Resorts announced the details of the 2009/2010 Merchant Pass Program. With a long history in Vail, the Merchant Pass program is a great hiring tool for local businesses. Due to the wide-ranging benefits for employees, unlike other pass products, the pass ownership resides with the business. The Merchant Pass, unlike the Epic Pass, is available for purchase starting Nov. 6, and can be purchased during the entire season and has many great features, including: transferability from one employee to another; discounts at Adventure Ridge; summer lift access in 2010 (not including bike haul); four $59 ski tickets for family or friends; six “ski with a friend” discount tickets; and one free group ski or snowboard lesson..To be eligible for the Merchant Pass program, businesses must first belong to the Vail Chamber & Business Association, Vail Valley Partnership or Beaver Creek Resort Company. Second, businesses must participate in one of two customer service programs: “Service to the Power of You,” or the “Platinum Service Program.” For more information on these programs and the Merchant Pass program, please contact the Vail Chamber, 970-477-0075.The Vail Chamber & Business Association held a Vail Town Council candidates forum Wednesday at the Donovan Pavilion. There was a great show of support from the community to see these candidates answer some really good questions. The Vail Chamber would like to thank Tony Muaro of KZYR for doing a great job moderating our forum. We would also like to thank Mark and Walt of Presentation Services for making sure everyone could hear the candidates speak. These events are very important for the community, so we are thankful to everyone who helped us put this together. The Vail Chamber & Business Association is currently in a membership drive for the winter.
