Vail Valley Voices: Keep Taft Conlin’s memory alive through scholarship

Taft Conlin's family
Vail, CO, Colorao

We would like to thank everyone for their selfless support, in more ways than we could have ever imagined, during this very difficult time of facing the loss of our beloved son Taft.

Although we know nothing can bring Taft back, we want Taft to stay in people’s hearts for many years to come.

To this end, we have established the Taft Conlin Memorial Scholarship at Vail Mountain School to help keep Taft’s memory alive.

We are so grateful for the outpouring of generosity in support of this scholarship.

We want to share with you that the Rosenbach family, in keeping with our desire to keep Taft in everyone’s thoughts and prayers, will match all donations made to the Taft Conlin Memorial Scholarship through Feb. 29, up to $100,000.

This amazing generosity on the part of the Rosenbach family is truly a concrete reflection of the love and support we have been enveloped by since our loss.

Donations may be made to the Taft Conlin Memorial Scholarship at http://www.vms.edu/taft or by mailing a check payable to Vail Mountain School to the attention of Taft Conlin Memorial Scholarship, c/o Vail Mountain School, 3000 Booth Falls Road, Vail, CO 81657.

We are providing Vail Mountain School with instructions for the award and distribution of these scholarship proceeds, which are being held by the school in a restricted account for distribution on our behalf, distinct from the school’s annual giving and special events fundraising proceeds.

Donations in memory of Taft may also be made to The Youth Foundation by mailing a check payable to The Youth Foundation, P.O. Box 2761, 0450 Miller Ranch Road, Edwards, CO 81632.

We have no words to express our loss of Taft, but please know that all that you have done and continue to do for us and our families provides us with great solace and a realization that Taft will stay in people’s hearts for the years to come.
