VAIL, Colorado ” Approximately 45 Comcast employees in Avon Saturday joined forces with Avon Elementary School as part of “Comcast Cares Day” in Colorado’s Vail Valley. On the company’s annual day of community service, volunteers spent much of the day planting, mulching, weeding and painting in and around the school.

“This year was by far the most successful ‘Comcast Cares Day,’ Mike Trueblood, vice president and general manager of Comcast’s mountain area operations. “There is nothing more rewarding than giving back, and we’re extremely proud of our employees who have generously given their time to improve the Colorado communities where we live and work.”

Around the country, more than 50,000 people volunteered more than 300,000 hours in 37 states as part of Comcast Cares Day.
