Vail Valley volunteers to take part in Comcast Cares Day

VAIL, Colorado ” More than 40 of Avon-area Comcast employees, family members and friends will volunteer today at Avon Elementary School in the Vail Valley as part of Comcast’s eighth annual “Comcast Cares Day.”

One of Colorado’s largest single-day corporate volunteerism efforts, Cares Day projects will provide a total of more than 24,000 hours of community service to nonprofits statewide.-

“Comcast is proud to be an active member of the Avon community and throughout Colorado, and Comcast Cares Day is our commitment to improving the quality of life in communities we serve,” Mike Trueblood, vice president and general manager of Comcast’s mountain area operations. “There is nothing more rewarding than giving back, and we’re grateful to the 3,000 Comcast Cares Day volunteers statewide who will be donating their time to help make such a big difference.”



Volunteers will begin work at 8 a.m.
